		<title>Radio Systems - Lead Designer</title>

They are looking for someone to lead a team in the specification, design and implementation of advanced wireless products, providing direction and guidance that results in successful and market-leading solutions for our clients.

Specific responsibilities 
·	To take a lead role in the Radio Systems Group. Prepare specifications for wireless systems, the design of wireless systems and be capable of converting application requirements into real solutions 
·	Lead multi-faceted engineering teams, focusing the team to deliver a solution 
·	Participate in sales meetings with clients and, in conjunction with the business developer’s, help interpret client requirements
·	Prepare and generate the technical response to bids and tenders for both existing and future clients 
·	Define the most suitable analogue system design or architecture to meet a specification 
·	Create novel design solutions that will be of particular interest to clients and contribute to their IP portfolio 
·	Act as a design mentor to other members of staff and to contribute to the development of the technical discipline of the group 
·	Where appropriate, contribute to the maintenance and development of our CAD systems to enhance their development capability 

Minimum requirements 

To meet the demanding requirements of the role you will have a good degree in an engineering or related subject.  With previous relevant experience working as a radio designer, possibly within a lead role for a telecommunications company or other relevant area, you will also have: 
·	A strong technical background in radio design 
·	Extensive experience of overall system design across multiple disciplines 
·	A proven ability to lead engineering teams 
·	Good knowledge of the product development process 
·	A proven record of getting designs right first time 
·	Good oral and written communication skills 
·	The ability to interact effectively at all levels in a client organization 

An understanding of wireless DSP will be considered an advantage (where appropriate, training will be provided)
