We aim to treat candidates how we would like to be treated ourselves.

confidentiality

ecm will handle your CV details confidentially - we will not submit your details to any client company without your authorisation and approval. Furthermore, candidate details are supplied to clients on the basis that they are to be treated as Strictly Confidential and may not be passed to any third party.

accuracy of your CV

In submitting your details to ecm you certify that the information provided is a true and accurate reflection of your education, employment and training history, and that the personal details supplied are correct. We act in good faith regarding the accuracy of this information. Please contact us immediately if there are any errors in your application.

Please note also that you may be asked to provide evidence of your identity, qualifications and eligibility to work in the UK at any time.

client fees and guarantee

We want to find the right role for you - and the right people for our clients.

Our services are completely free of charge to candidates. ecm provides a paid-for service to client companies – whereby we find candidates who not only offer a strong match to their requirements, but who are also interested in, and motivated towards, that client company.

We also offer a guarantee to clients - their fee is returned should a placed candidate decide to leave shortly after joining. So we want to ensure that we find the right position for you - with a company that you feel offers the right career path and a great working environment.

trust

Once we are working on your behalf, we will discuss specific vacancies with you - this is likely to include detailed job specifcations and direct links to client websites.

Obviously, as a registered candidate, we trust that you will not also make any alternative approach to these clients (directly or via another agency) at this point!

Similarly, if you have already applied to the suggested client, please tell us. Sometimes a candidate thinks that 'it won't do any harm to try again'. If we do unknowingly resubmit details of a candidate it wastes everybody's time, and it makes the candidate look at best undiscriminating and at worst desperate.

If you have registered with other agencies they are obliged to tell you where they have sent your CV - and should of course ask your permission first.

future contact

We value the relationships that we have built with our clients. We also aim to forge a long-term relationship with our candidates.

Once you join a company through ecm our policy is that we will not contact you again while you are employed with them. If, however, at some point in the future you decide to seek another move, we hope you are pleased with our services and will contact us first.
