Day to day challenges mean that there is an emphasis on personal responsibility, flexibility and freedom. This key role is to join a talented and ambitious group to take leadership roles in the innovation and development of new medical devices by drawing on your technical insight, creativity, initiative and drive.

You will invent and develop new products that are intuitive, styled and incorporated human factors and usability considerations as well as novel engineering solutions. You will create, visualise and develop product concepts using CAD, graphics and physical models.

The Product Design Consultant will have at least a 2.1 (Hons) degree from a good university (i.e. strong A level grades too) in product design, industrial design engineering, mechanical engineering or similar. You must be able to produce a portfolio of working showing the significant impact you have made on new product development. In particular you will have:

  • Advanced skills in CAD (SolidWorks or Creo), graphic design (Photoshop and Illustrator) and sketching;
  • human factors and usability of products;
  • knowledge and experience in the design of injection-moulded parts; plus
  • the ability to communicate confidently and authoritatively to senior business leaders.

This is a key role within this dynamic environment.
