An Instrumentation Power Engineer is sought by our client to work within their engineering team to support the operations of a highly bespoke scientific platform. Their unique tools are in constant demand from both academic and industry users and thus the platform is needed to be robust as well as to be modified to meet users’ requirements.
The team provide in house expertise and knowledge for control interfaces, managing all facets of operations from maintenance and testing to development and new module integrations. Duties do vary and requires good problem solving skills.
- Degree in electrical engineering, electronics or similar.
- Background in control systems especially regarding power supplies and components.
- Hands on practical experience in design and testing of electrical systems for large scientific instrumentation.
- Knowledge of digital and analogue electronics, EMC, digital control interfaces would be desirable.
This role would fit a graduate engineer with some post-graduate project experience (ideally commercial work but academic projects that are relevant would be fine). In return, you’ll be part of an inclusive team, working on interesting, unique problems within a friendly team environment.
