Python, Software Test Framework, Full Lifecycle, Top Co.

An exciting opportunity for a bright Test Automation Engineer to join this growing, highly successful software company based in Cambridge.

You’ll be testing software that enables secure remote access to mobile devices. The software is designed for automotive and mobile application developers and OEM partners and is delivered as an SDK.

Focusing on automated testing, you’ll be writing test code and adding functionality to our client’s existing Python-based test framework. You’ll also be able to play a part in other types of testing, including manual testing, covering the entire lifecycle from requirements analysis to regression testing.

You’ll be part of a small team of testers, and report to the Test Manager. The work is interesting and challenging, and you will enjoy considerable responsibility.

You’ll be a team player, have a good degree and the following technical experience:

  • Writing test software, without relying on expensive test automation tools such as QTP.
  • Tests and test frameworks running in Python (or other languages such as Perl, Ruby, Java, JavaScript, C# etc).
  • Testing commercial software, including a passion to understand how technology works, and an ability to use that knowledge to cause software to fail in interesting ways!
