A top technology company with a pedigree in sustainable technology are seeking a sensor technologist to help design and develop their next generation products. Sustainability is a key focus of the role which will also test your analytical and engineering skills and offer opportunities to see the world.

You will need:

  • Excellent academic record (1st class or 2.1 degree in physics, maths, computer science or engineering)
  • Demonstrable grasp of the physics of sensors and measurement techniques
  • Excellent problem solving skills
  • Strong mathematical analysis skills
  • Ability to work to deadlines and communicate effectively with clients and colleagues
  • Algorithm development and mathematical modelling from first principles

The following are desirable:

  • Experienced with Python / Embedded C / MATLAB / LabVIEW
  • Background in digital electronics / signal processing / DSP
  • Experience of technology development / prototyping
  • Experience of design for manufacture (DfM)
  • Product approval testing
  • Design of electromagnetic actuators and sensors
