Do you thrive on solving complex mechanical engineering problems?

We are recruiting for a bright and high performing Mechanical Engineer to join our client's R&D team specialising in designing innovative and complex robotic technology. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of mechanical engineering fundamentals and commercial experience in product development.

As part of an interdisciplinary team, the Mechanical Engineer will work on high precision robotic solutions, drawing on their existing commercial experience in design, analysis and transfer to production. The Mechanical Engineer will have a strong mathematical background and the ability to master complex ideas which can add value to the system design.

You must have at least a 2.1 degree in mechanical engineering (or similar) from a world class university together with some commercial experience in a high precision commercial R&D role. You must also have the existing right to work in the UK without sponsorship.

You will also have some of the following:

  • design of complex mechatronic systems using CAD such as SolidWorks
  • analytical skills, specifically in tolerance analysis e.g. FEA, MATLAB, CFD
  • understanding of manufacturing processes and their impact on design selection
  • experience of designing for high reliability and precision
