Bright R&D Physicists / Engineers (23329)

Cambs
to £50k DOE + bens

physics, engineering, consultancy, Cambs, 1st, 2.1, PhD, R&D, fluids, optics

This company is a hot-bed of technical research and development, with continued success delivering game-changing technologies and products across a wide range of applications. Their products have touched thousands of human lives: from extra-ordinary innovations that improve medical diagnostics and treatment in remote communities or which have already saved lives in war-torn countries, through to domestic technologies that help to reduce carbon footprints in the retail industry, or which improve properties of food products.

They’re always keen to grow their team to keep up with demand, and are on the look-out for bright engineers or scientists to join their world-class team. They’re open to a broad range of backgrounds and experience, but key for them is experience developing hands-on tangible products, rather than simply academic research of niche phenomena.

As a minimum, candidates will need to demonstrate:

  • a strong academic background, with a 2.1 or 1st and perhaps also a PhD in Physics, Engineering or Natural Sciences;
  • experience in real product / prototype development, ideally in a multi-disciplinary environment;
  • commercially-relevant experience in a high-tech environment;
  • an unrestricted right to work in the UK without a time-limit or the need for sponsorship.

Candidates with backgrounds in optics, microfluidics, MEMS, sensing, DSP or algorithm development would be of particular interest for this position.

For the successful candidate, on offer is a chance to work in a unique and supportive technical R&D environment. With modern offices near Cambridge, dedicated prototyping and manufacture facilities, plenty of perks and amenities on top of a generous salary and package, this really isn’t an opportunity to miss.
