Due to growth, they are now looking for a smart Software Engineer to join their team and develop a key part of the company’s technology. This is a Big Data platform able to reliably store and index a huge amount of audio recordings - in a way that allows the fastest possible retrieval of specific data subsets for automated analysis.

Your background will include a relevant degree qualification plus:

  • Demonstrable experience in the management of big data, preferably binary data (as opposed to text)
  • Database management: SQL, NoSQL etc
  • Programming and scripting: Python/Java coding and code optimisation
  • Development under Linux
