Are you an experienced Sensor Algorithm Engineer who has an interest in semiconductor / MEMS technology used in sensor design?

As the algorithm developer you will have an outstanding technical degree from a known leading university. This is probably backed up a PhD (perhaps in Physics) or you have several years’ experience developing algorithms. Ideally this will have involved designing experiments and defining test conditions in order to investigate the attributes of a device. From these investigations you will have created algorithms to characterise the device.

This role requires similar skills and hence experience of the following areas is vital:

  • Algorithm development and analysis with MATLAB or other tools e.g. Python
  • Experiment design and obtaining data from a lab bench setup
  • Data manipulation and statistical analysis

A bonus would be:

  • An understanding of semiconductor / MEMS technology
  • Some exposure to low level analogue electronics
  • Knowledge of the restrictions for implementing algorithms on constrained processors

This position is within a mixed discipline development team with experts covering the electronics side and software implementation. There are possibilities to explore machine learning techniques within your algorithm development. Overall an excellent opportunity to develop leading edge designs for novel new products. Many of these products will be launched on the high street so the role has the pleasure of seeing your work in everyday products.
