Want to make a difference? Want to work on applied research underpinning genetic causes for cancers and rare diseases?

We’re recruiting for a graduate / masters level Bioinformatics Scientist to join our client, and in this role, take responsibility in the analysis and understanding of high volumes of genetic data and write prototype code tools.

Requirements:

  • 1st / 2.1 or masters degree in computer science or bioinformatics (ideally some project experience with genetic data analysis).
  • Experience writing prototype code with Python in a Linux environment. Exposure to Perl would be advantageous.
  • Further experience with high-performance computing, relational databases, and / or version control would be desirable.
  • Relevant internship experience would be beneficial.
