Secure Server-side Developer (23602)
Can you develop a secure web based system? This innovative start-up is looking for a diverse developer to create the server-side back end to collect data from their own remote devices via the internet. Then provide a web interface for clients to access appropriate data.
This new and exciting start-up has a small world-class team of technologists, developing an innovative solution in the 3D positioning / drone technology market. They are in the early stages of developing a commercial product, which has many application areas.
They are looking for a talented Secure Server-side Developer. To impress them you will need to have exemplary technical qualifications, preferably an engineering degree from a top university, and relevant industrial experience and achievements. This experience could be from a Sys-Admin role with significant level of programming, or ideally from a product company as a Server-side Developer.
You will be able to demonstrate knowledge and experience in the following:
- A broad understanding of protocols and systems, i.e. XML, JSON, REST
- MySQL and potentially Apache systems
- Previous experience of PHP, Python or C
- Knowledge of secure API for external services
- Remote server setup and configuration – Linux based systems
- Web page design to prove your back-end software
The role is to quickly get a functional system up and running using off the shelf components where possible. Then, as the product matures, replace these with your own designs where appropriate. This will enable you to make an important contribution to a small company, with the associated risks and rewards, including share options. Excellent prospects await the right candidate in a permanent role in an exciting start-up environment.
