You will have significant industry experience as an embedded developer in C, as well as C++ experience. You need a good degree in computer science, electronics or a related subject from a top university, backed by good A-level grades.
Experience in the following is also beneficial:
- Developing for ARM SoCs
- Driver development for Windows and Linux
- USB and wireless USB protocols
- Data pipelining hardware architectures and Khronos standards (e.g. Vulkan)
- Compression technology
- Networking (OSI layers 2-4)
- FPGAs and ASICs; VHDL/Verilog and/or developing for prototype hardware
