Do you enjoy difficult mathematical puzzles and logical reasoning? Are you good at software design? This is an exciting opportunity to create innovative algorithms, drawing heavily on the fundamentals of computer science, electronics and mathematics.

You will join an extremely bright and innovative team who are addressing the most challenging questions in the area of mathematical hardware design, working on the composition and implementation of fundamental hardware operations at the IC / silicon level. By applying intelligent reasoning to the fundamental structures at the gate level, you will aim to deliver significant hardware benefits in terms of reliability, speed, area and power efficiency.

The role offers serious technical challenge and a fun working environment , with the opportunity to undertake applied research, involving software and hardware co-development, and a truly rare perspective on front end design and logic synthesis. Based in Cambridge, close to the railway station, you will be liaising with the other offices of this international company worldwide.

With a very impressive academic record and a solid mathematical background, you should have excellent creative analytic and problem solving skills, along with proven commercial level fluency in C++ / Object Oriented programming. Any exposure to EDA software & / or front-end hardware RTL design would be a definite advantage.
