Machine Learning, Autonomy, PhD, Behavioural Prediction Modelling, Start-up

This forward-moving start-up has accelerated its growth and is applying machine learning / AI to real world technology development. Their in-house engineering team build and deliver on research from their world class scientists who are tackling highly sophisticated problems utilising reinforced learning to predict behavioural outcomes.

These technologies need to be robust and work in real-time scenarios within sub-optimal environments. Whilst models can be imperfect, the engineered solution must be fool-proof.

Requirements:

  • You’ll be academically bright – hold a doctorate in robotics, machine learning or AI from a top university group. You’ll also underpin this PhD with formal Master’s level qualifications in computer science, maths, physics, engineering or statistics.
  • Demonstrable post-doctoral project work in areas such as unsupervised (or semi-supervised) machine learning models for sophisticated predictions. You’ll have implemented methods such as inverse reinforced learning and inference.
  • You can support your expert status through a healthy publication record and attendance at leading academic and industry-driven conferences.

This is not your usual 9-5 job. The work will be challenging and demanding. You’ll need to balance world leading research with industry pressures and deadlines to deliver. You’ll be given projects and whilst part of a team, will have the autonomy for independent research.
In return, you’ll be joining at an exciting time as this company goes to the next level. You’ll be well-compensated for your hard work including stock options.

The company is investment funded, and led by serial techpreneurs who understand how to take applied research to market and deliver under pressure.

Candidates from academia or industry, both in the UK and overseas are invited to apply.
