Engineering Data Systems Consultant (23930)

Our client is one of the foremost providers of expert systems to assist industry professionals and researchers in engineering more flexible, robust, environmentally sound engineering products. Their software solutions integrate with major industrial design packages to provide expert advice whenever needed.

The company is seeking a bright, capable engineering consultant to work with clients around the globe. You will help to shape product development and tailor solutions for clients in particular sectors and with demanding engineering requirements.

You will have:

• A 1st or 2:1 in a relevant academic subject from one of the world’s foremost universities
• An understanding of more than one of: mechanical engineering, manufacturing technologies, product materials’ selection, design for manufacture (DFM), carbon neutral solutions; as applying to industrial manufacturing
• A good knowledge of one or more industrial manufacturing sectors: such as automotive, electrical, aerospace, electronics, oil and gas, green technology
• Numeracy and familiarity with one or more data analysis tools such as Excel / VBA, SAS, SPSS or similar. SQL database skills are advantageous.

The ideal candidate may also have experience with software used in industrial design and manufacture, such as CAD, PLM or BOM systems.

Foreign language skills, especially western European or Asian languages, would be a plus.
