This company is bringing to life exciting new Augmented / Virtual Reality products that are set to revolutionise a number of high-tech engineering markets. Their technology will allow engineers to interact with remote equipment or colleagues in real-time; it can enable specialist training on bespoke machinery without leaving a conference room; or even be used on the ‘factory floor’ to provide critical information, wiring layouts or assembly guidelines without taking your eyes off the component.

With an astounding proof-of-concept successfully demoed, they’re looking for a number of talented Java developers to bring their product to the market. With both Senior and Team Lead positions available, this is an excellent opportunity for an experienced candidate to be in the exciting early stages of a game changing technology.

Candidates will need to demonstrate the following skills and experience:

  • proven commercial experience developing successful technologies in a Java environment;
  • a strong technical background, including an honours degree in a relevant numerate discipline from a leading university;
  • expertise with web-based applications, including security and latency of distributed systems;
  • strong knowledge of at least one common JavaScript web framework;
  • familiarity with modern dev practices, such as source control, automated test and build, cloud deployment and QA processes.
    Further additional skills in C++, web UI design (HTML/CSS) and Single Page Applications would be highly advantageous.
