An established and stable company wishes to dramatically increase their team due to unprecedented product success. This position is for a Graduate Technical Support Engineer to be involved with end customers, R&D and sales.

As a Graduate Technical Support Engineer you will have some exposure to software systems to sufficiently prove a genuine interest in this area. Whilst a software degree is not essential for this Graduate Engineer position a 1st or 2.1 from a world leading university in a technical subject is a must (e.g. Maths, Physics or Electronics). This company’s products utilise a diverse variety of software technologies within their designs. This support role will build your career in the following areas:

  • Customer facing skills, especially knowing when to escalate an issue to management for assistance
  • Setting up a trade show stand and providing demos
  • Understanding of the support process and how to handle issues to closure
  • Gain broad experience of TCP/IP, WAN or Cloud systems
  • Knowledge how to setup Linux based systems
  • Experience of web technologies

Once you have built up some experience it is expected you will travel and represent the company at trade shows and customer visits. This is often international so any foreign languages skills would be beneficial.

You will join a team of friendly, dedicated developers working in an extremely modern, welcoming work environment. This is an excellent opportunity to join an award-winning Cambridge company creating new IP and developing their own products with the enjoyable technical challenges that come with streaming High Definition video.
