This top Cambridge software company develops innovative Natural Language Processing software that is transforming the connected healthcare and medical research markets. Their work has already been recognised by a number of awards, and their products are used by leading researchers worldwide.

They are now looking for a Technical Author to join their established documentation team. Working closely with both developers and end-users, the team’s output contributes to feature / release notes, developer forums, knowledge / support portals and implementation guidelines. As a Technical Author, you’ll also be contributing to shaping new standards, style conventions and guidelines as the workload demands.

Successful CVs will demonstrate:

  • a formal background in a numerate / technical discipline (computer science, engineering, natural sciences, or similar), with a good degree from a top-ranked university;
  • experience developing technical documentation and writing in a software environment for a variety of audiences (both technical and non-technical);
  • a strong eye for detail and consistency, including both content and style / layout;
  • excellent communication skills with an ability to assimilate and explain new technical information.

Additional exposure to any of: documentation of APIs, Natural Language Processing, common scripting languages or web-layout tools (HTML/CSS) would be a bonus. CVs must demonstrate an attention to detail and clarity in communication that will be second nature to a Technical Author.
