Test Engineer: Embedded Software / Hardware (24218)
This company is a world-leader in delivery of integrated software / hardware components used extensively in automotive sectors. Their technology often provides real-time analysis and control functions, sometimes in a safety-critical environment. Because of this, robust software and hardware testing forms a core part of their development cycle, and they now have an opening for an experienced Test Engineer to join their established team.
Suitable candidate CVs will demonstrate:
- a strong academic background, with a 2.1/1st Hons degree in a relevant STEM subject from a top-ranking university;
- experience with both manual testing, and automated test development, recognising which approaches are most suitable in which situations;
- a good knowledge of embedded software development, including C, and ideally also automotive technologies like CAN bus or AutoSAR;
- a proven track record of suggesting fixes and improvements to any problems or deficiencies found during testing.
Excellent communication skills are also required, and candidates need to have permission to work in the UK without restriction already in place. Any experience of electronics design/testing and working in continuous integration / deployment environments is a big plus.
