Mechanical Engineer: Production and automation (24318)

This exciting R&D centre has been the brains behind some of the most well-known innovations in tech and engineering products in the last few decades. From pioneering work in wireless communications, or life-saving surgical technologies, through to novel and environment-friendly consumer goods production processes or even the latest fitness trackers – chances are a lot of the tech aspects of your life was conceived in their labs!

They are now looking for an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join their creative and talented team, working on developing new production, automation and processing equipment. They’re not interested in someone who has only worked on one type of production machinery or simple mechanical processes – you’ll need to demonstrate some innovative or exotic interests in mechanical design to really catch their eye.

Candidate CVs will need to demonstrate:

• A solid academic background, with a 2.1 in mechanical or process engineering (or similar) from a top Russell Group university;
• Experience designing process machinery for unusual materials or processes (powders, pastes, foodstuffs, fabrics, etc.);
• Familiarity with control and automation systems in production, as well as quality monitoring and risk assessment;
• Excellent CAD skills, with a thorough knowledge of SolidWorks ideally.
