Senior Software Test Engineer (SDKs / APIs) (24438)

Cambridge
to £65k (DoE) + top benefits
Filled

software test development, SDKs, tools, utilities, Agile, TDD, West Cambridge

This company is a global leader, providing software tools for near real-time processing and parsing of complex graphical data, translating it for use by specialist hardware products. They work with multiple leading OEMs, and their software can be found across both domestic and commercial environments.

As their software team grows, they are seeing an experienced Senior Test Engineer to join their established and friendly team, based in modern offices on the outskirts of Cambridge. Industry-specific knowledge isn’t a requirement, but candidate CVs must show commercial experience of:

  • automated software test, tools and harnesses development;
  • validation and verification of SDKs and applications using them;
  • coding / scripting in a modern language, ideally with C++ / C# knowledge;
  • modern testing practices and techniques (unit, black-/white-box, etc.);
  • working in Agile / TDD environments.

Candidates also should have a good technical degree (in Computer Science, or similar) from a top-ranking university (with at least As and Bs at A-level). You should also possess the right to work in the UK without restrictions or the need for sponsorship already in place. Further knowledge of digital document formats and rasterisation would be a great benefit to your application.

Successful candidates will enjoy a very competitive salary and benefits package, with the opportunity to work in a friendly and flexible company and plenty of potential for personal development and career progression. The role is based just west of Cambridge, with excellent transport links into the city, in dedicated modern and comfortable offices. This is a permanent, full-time role, and candidates with a background in short-term contracting are unlikely to be considered without an explanation of their reasons for a move into permanent positions.

If this sounds like the role for you, don’t hesitate to submit your CV to ECM now! Or know someone, who’d be right for this? Why not let them know via our recommendation scheme for the chance to gain £250! Whilst we can only progress candidates who are a close match to the role’s requirements, we do read every CV we receive, and try to respond to everyone.
