Software Developer: Test and Automation (24439)

Are you an experienced software test developer, with a strong grasp of coding and an inquisitive nature, looking for your next challenge with a successful and established company? Our client is one of the world’s leading developers of tools for data and image processing, and their software is used by tech companies around the globe.

They’re seeking a test developer who is able to view the software as an ‘end-user’, and help develop and implement a suite of automated test and QA tools that would thoroughly stress the product in realistic use (and indeed ‘misuse’) cases.

The successful candidate will likely be able to demonstrate:

• an academic background in computer science, or a related STEM subject, with a good honours degree from a top-ranking university;
• commercial experience with test suite / harness development and automation;
• confidence shaping a product and suggesting new ideas, working alongside developers to provide feedback on tests and performance;
• fluency with at least one mainstream OO language (ideally C++ or C#), and proficiency with scripting languages (Python, JavaScript, Ruby, etc.);
• experience with modern (Agile) software test / development practices.

Further knowledge / interest in digital document formats, graphics / rasterization or printed media would strengthen your application. Candidates should also have the existing permission to work in the UK without restrictions or the need for sponsorship already in place.
