Senior Firmware Engineer (24493)

Our client is an industry leading manufacturer of high performance communication technology whose equipment underpins many prominent businesses. They are now seeking an experienced firmware engineer to join their growing team.

You would be involved in all aspects of firmware scoping, design, development and verification; collaborating with the hardware team to bring new products and features to life. You would also be involved in planning and prioritisation of work for the SCRUM team and in mentoring more junior engineers.

You will need:

• A top degree or a PhD in Computer Science or similarly appropriate subject from a leading university.
• Substantial experience in low level, high performance software development in C (assembler would be a welcome bonus).
• Demonstrably strong understanding of networking protocols, PCI-Express, Verilog, and VHDL.
• Full-lifecycle software development experience, including Agile methodology, Bugzilla, and version control systems such as Git.
