Nanotechnologist Engineer / Scientist (24540)

Based in Cambridge, this technology start-up has recently secured new funding to enable them to grow their team, and they seek a Nanotechnologist Engineer / Scientist to join them. They specifically are looking for someone to take a hands-on role, bringing cleanroom nanofabrication expertise, to work on their commercial applied projects.

Requirements:

• Strong academic background including a 1st / 2.1 in Chemical Physics, Material Science or similar from a top ranked university AND a PhD in nanotechnology or nanophysics.
• Demonstrable project experience working on relevant projects within a cleanroom including two or more of the following:
  • Photolithography
  • Thin film deposition
  • Microfluidic fabrication
  • Surface functionalisation
  • Wet and dry etching
• Experience working with nanotechnology devices for scientific applications including development, design and build. Must have a strong focus on process and fabrication methodologies.

This role is suitable for an Engineer / Scientist keen to work within a collaborative, multidisciplinary team on varied projects focussed on scientific instrumentation development. On offer is an excellent remuneration package.

Preference is for UK based candidates. No company sponsorship is available.
