Anti-piracy Researcher (24549)
This is a great role for a talented researcher who enjoys investigative work and problem solving. It would suit a bright candidate with a solid technical background, an investigative mind-set (lateral thinking, anagram and puzzle solving) and a strong understanding of computing - particularly networking / distributed systems / file sharing via the Internet. You will enjoy the investigative aspects of “detective work” on evolving systems, as well as extensive people interaction.
Based in this international client’s Cambridge office (close to the railway station) you will work as part of a multi-cultural and dispersed software anti-piracy team of over 80 staff across 50 countries. You should therefore offer excellent analytical and communication skills (including empathy to work in a multi-cultural, dispersed team). Excellent verbal and written English language communications skills are essential.
You will have the opportunity to make the most of your existing skills whilst developing in the role, and learn new skills related to software anti-piracy. Attention to detail is vitally important as is the ability to work on your own initiative when required. There may be some opportunity for overseas travel, but this will not be a major part of the role.
In addition to a relevant technical degree, you should ideally be effective in the use of relevant web research tools such as internet domain registries, reverse DNS lookups, along with a broad understanding of office / business applications such as MS Office, SAP and SalesForce. Any experience of business intelligence / data visualisation software such as Tableau or Kibana would be a definite advantage.
In return, an excellent remuneration package is available including pension, life assurance, health / dental plans, and more.
Please note: even if you don't have exactly the background indicated, do contact us now if this type of job is of interest - we may well have similar opportunities that you would be suited to. And of course, we always get your permission before submitting your CV to a company.
