Ruby Application Developer (24643)
Are you an Experienced Application Developer with Ruby experience or excellent proven skills in Python or similar? Do you enjoy the challenge of simplifying complex problems to bring to life elegant and ergonomic software applications? If so this may be just the role for you.
Our client develops user-friendly business-to-business applications, widely used by an appreciative user base whose lives are made easier by their intuitive and ergonomic interface. With legislative changes adding additional administrative overhead on small businesses, there will be no shortage of interesting challenges to tackle.
The role will involve designing and implementing innovative and elegant solutions for critical functionality, working collaboratively with colleagues from other teams, web designers and product managers. The main technology used is Ruby-on-Rails, but whilst experience is useful, it is not mandatory as training can be given.
To apply you will need:
- A good degree from recognized university.
- Commercial experience involving development of cloud-based software, perhaps with languages such as Python or Perl, and in a comparable application area.
- A pragmatic and collaborative attitude, happy to learn new skills and to mentor less experienced colleagues when needed.
- Full permission to work in the UK.
