Their products will have contributed to the design thousands of engineering products as diverse as medical devices, energy-efficient buildings, F1 racing cars, fashion textiles, or even space rockets! They also are active educators, and have strong partnerships with leading universities around the world, letting young engineers benefit from the power and innovation in their software.
They are seeking a Technical Author to join their established communications team in Cambridge. They develop a wide range of materials: from release notes, reference guides and promotional content, through to UI and UX elements, tooltips and program messages, or even online training guides, video content and social media.
Successful candidate CVs will be able to demonstrate:
- a strong technical background, with a good honours degree in a STEM subject from a top-ranking university;
- excellent written communication skills, providing accurate, concise information with an eye for detail;
- proven experience communicating technical concepts, either through academic projects, extra-curricular interests, or commercial experience;
- fluency with a wide range of authoring and publishing tools incl. common Microsoft and Adobe programs, experience with graphics or multimedia software are an added bonus;
Candidates who are able to provide a portfolio of relevant work or links to published material online will be of particular interest.
