Linux Systems Administrator (24697)

Excellent opportunity for a Linux System Administrator to join a small but fast growing company in the heart of London. Our client is a leading technology company specialising in building solutions ranging from large databases to pattern recognition systems for large media companies worldwide.

They’re now looking for an experienced Linux System Administrator to join their dynamic team of technologists, analysts and designers. The System Administrator will work with systems handling large amounts of data and develop their skills across cloud, office and data centre environments.

With a background in Linux System Administration, the successful candidate will join a small team involved in the installation, configuration and management of servers and monitoring systems. You will be involved in troubleshooting issues involving the hardware and network as well as managing cloud-based applications.

The skills you will need to demonstrate are:-

• Good knowledge of Linux administration, specifically Ubuntu and CentOS
• Experience building and using open source software
• Excellent people skills, dealing mostly with internal colleagues but occasionally external clients
• Good communicator and able to display motivation and enthusiasm
