Analogue and digital electronics background development for motorsports and automotive

This successful Cambridge company has developed electronic systems and solutions used in automotive sectors and motorsports worldwide. Their products are used in multiple applications – from improving passenger safety and comfort, through to performance optimisation and analysis in high-profile sporting events at F1 and WRC races.

They are seeking an experienced Senior Electronics Engineer to join their established team, specialising in video and data systems for the next generation of vehicles. As well as a good academic background (2.1 Hons or better) in Electronics Engineering or related subject from a top-ranking university, candidate CVs will need to demonstrate good knowledge of most of:

  • analogue and digital design experience, from concept to detailed design;
  • high-speed and high-bandwidth systems;
  • automotive and serial interfaces: I²C, SPI, CAN, FLEXRAY, and similar;
  • sensors, DSP, amplifiers, filters and A/D and D/A conversion;
  • communications protocols (Ethernet, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth);
  • power electronics, including motors and actuators;
  • circuit simulation, tolerance and rating analyses and EMC.
    Candidates will also need to have existing permission to work in the UK, without restrictions or the need for sponsorship.
