Yield Enhancement Engineer (24784)

A successful and growing Cambridge fabless semiconductor company is seeking a Yield Enhancement Engineer to join their growing team. With your knowledge of device physics and manufacturing processes, and working with manufacturers, you will pinpoint and resolve yield issues.

Your CV will demonstrate your experience with advanced-node IC NPI, mask generation, tape out, Si processing and yield enhancement. You will have considerable knowledge of front and back end of line CMOS fabrication, including isolating issues with high dielectric constant metal gate front end fabrication, and with low dielectric constant copper back end fabrication, in both cases to 28nm. You will be able to carry out detailed statistical process analyses using appropriate tools, including for wafer acceptance testing, sorting and binning.

Part of your role will be to support the supply chain by providing detailed feedback in good time, especially for new products and as manufacturing ramps up. In cases where returns to the manufacturer were necessary, you will carry out general analyses and suggest improvements and routes to prevent future failures.

You will hold a good degree in relevant subject from a top university and strong A-level grades, and full permission to live and work in the UK without time limit, restriction or sponsorship.
