Hardware Design Engineer (24786)
One of Cambridge’s leading international software and hardware companies is looking to find an excellent, experienced Hardware Design Engineer to help design and develop prototype boards for their rapidly expanding product range.
A major aspect of the role will be designing and testing reference boards for use by OEMs and partner companies. This will include high-speed interfaces such as USB3, Ethernet, HDMI and DDR2. The Hardware Design Engineer will be expected to validate both board designs and silicon.
The Hardware Design Engineer would also be expected to: perform feasibility studies and technical investigations; gain the input of suppliers, manufacturers and customers to deliver quality solutions; assist with ASIC validation activities, and create and maintain user guides and documentation.
Skills needed for this role include:
- A competent background in general and high speed digital and analogue electronics design
- Good working knowledge of video, networking and bus interfaces
- The ability to design and test prototype reference boards, incorporating interfaces such as USB3, Ethernet, HDMI and DDR2
You will need a good degree in Electronics together with strong A-level grades. Full permission to live and work in the UK without time limit, restriction or sponsorship will also be required.
