Summary: Top qualified Graduate / PhD Software Engineer required for this innovative company based in Cambridge. Can you offer a PhD, Masters, 1st or 2.1 from a well ranked university and the ability to learn quickly - plus some experience of C or Python programming? Superb salary and competitive package (including share options, sign-on bonus, private health/ dentistry, critical illness cover, employer contribution to pension).

Are you a bright, numerate graduate (in computer science, maths, physics or electronics) seeking your first break into industry? Would you enjoy working a fast-paced environment, where you can gain a wide variety of on-the-job training and the opportunity to experience all aspects of the software lifecycle during the initial year, before moving into a core software development role?

The requirements for this role are very simple - you must have a 2.1 or 1st Class degree from one of the top universities (along with good 'A' level grades) and the ability to learn very quickly! You should also have a proven talent for, and genuine interest in, software development.

During your first year you will rotate through the software test group to understand the test process; the automation group to gain experience developing unit / system test harnesses; work on field issues, maintenance, release updates; and assist in pre-sales prototyping. You will then move into core software development engineer role.

You will become expert in technical skills including C and assembler programming, Python scripting and networking technologies. Prior skills and knowledge in these is a major advantage.

This is a superb opportunity to work as part of a leading international company involved in the design of innovative, high performance networking products.

In addition to a competitive salary, depending on experience, the benefits package includes share options, private health / dentistry, critical illness cover and employer contribution to pension.
