Based in Cambridge, this software engineering team is a key technical office for this global company. They work with tier 1 clients on a range of technology problems, providing robust, innovative software solutions that can cover machine learning, cybersecurity, data analytics, IT systems, cloud applications and technology infrastructure.
The Cambridge team is looking for a Java Developer looking for that next step in their career. They will have gained industry experience developing products and writing code in Java, and keen to work on modern technologies and develop their skills. They will enjoy working on challenging projects – interested in the complexities and intricacies of technology – and able to code solutions in Java (although they are likely to have also gained exposure to other languages). They will understand modern software development practices and the importance of debugging and testing as well as software delivery.
- 1st / 2.1 degree in Computer Science, Maths, Physics or similar from a highly regarded university.
- Commercial experience developing software in Java. Will be familiar with databases, testing, debugging, documenting.
- Further exposure to other technologies would be advantageous including C or C++.
- Strong aptitude in learning and being able to pick up unfamiliar technologies quickly.
