Cambridge

C++ and 3D maths required

Are you looking for an exciting, mathematically challenging C++ role? This could be the job for you!

Our client is an industry-leader in computer-assisted engineering. Their software spans the gulf between 3D mathematic models and solid real-world fabrication, allowing intricate components to be created with ease. To support their continued success they are now seeking an experienced software developer with excellent C++ coding ability and an aptitude for visualising and working with 3D problems to join their team.

This is a small, friendly company with a professional but informal working culture, based in a pleasant village close to Cambridge.

The role will involve the full spectrum of development activities throughout the project lifecycle, from designing and implementing new features, and maintaining legacy code to software testing and debugging, and providing technical expertise in response to customer queries. This role would suit a self-motivated problem-solver who prefers to crack on with stimulating tasks in an environment where your efforts are noticed and appreciated.

You will need:

  • A 1st or 2:1 in computer science or similarly mathematical subject from a well-respected university.
  • Demonstrable aptitude for 3D vector mathematics and visualising complex spatial problems.
  • Strong C++ coding skills gained through commercial experience or extensive hobby or open source projects. You must be comfortable with complex
    class hierarchies, templates and Microsoft Foundation Classes. Experience with C++ 11 is not required but would be preferred.

The role attracts a highly competitive salary and benefits package. Apply to find out more.
