Calling all bright and aspiring JavaScript GUI Engineers

This is an excellent chance to join a successful team using the latest tools and techniques to create bespoke mobile applications for accessing a wide range of services. If you are a new or recent graduate with a strong academic background and a genuine interest in building a career in software development, then this role may be for you.

Unlike many roles where a high level of knowledge is a prerequisite, this opportunity offers an initial training period followed by a gradual transition into project work with a high level of ownership and autonomy. This would typically include designing and implementing new functionality and user interface features, building test cases to ensure a quality and robustness, and liaising with clients to support their use of the software.

Our client offers a competitive salary and benefits package with good prospects for an early increase. This role also offers the opportunity to progress still further into a team lead or consultancy role in the longer term. All-in-all this is an excellent chance to build valuable skills in a supportive and professional environment.

You will need:

  • A 1st or 2:1 degree in numerate discipline from a leading university with strong grades at A Level (or equivalent)
  • A strong aptitude for software development in a modern object-oriented language, demonstrated by commercial experience, or substantial academic or hobby projects. In particular C#, Java, and JavaScript (including JavaScript frameworks) would be of interest.
  • A bonus, would be experience in developing webpages using HTML5 and CSS3
