Embedded Linux Software Engineer (25054)

Our client provides unique solutions for their customers by solving today’s hardest engineering problems in sensing, data collection & communications. Their customers span a wide range of markets including healthcare, internet of things, defence, security and automotive.

With continued growth they are currently looking for a number of Embedded Linux Software Engineers.

You will be developing board support packages, kernel device drivers and real-time software for embedded Linux targets working closely with other members of the engineering team to develop solutions that meet their clients’ requirements. Typical projects use customised hardware based on openly-available reference designs. You will be participating in client meetings and will be responsible for the full software life cycle from concept to delivery.

In-depth knowledge with proven experience in embedded Linux development is essential and experience of writing Yocto recipes is highly desirable. You should be comfortable developing software for a variety of platforms and able to generate customer-facing documentation. You must be comfortable participating in sales and project meetings with clients and able to generate technical responses to bids and tenders. You should have a good technical degree from a top university.
