Cambridge, UK or Nordrhein-Westfalen, DE: An opportunity has arisen for an experienced field applications or field service professional to join this prominent company. Their core business is in high value instrumentation for scientists.

This role will suit a field applications engineer, FAE, field service professional or technical support engineer who enjoys travel (30-50% depending) and engaging with scientific clients. It will include product consultancy, installation, troubleshooting and priority response.

You will have:

  • A background in electronics, mechanical or electro-mechanical engineering, as would apply to instrumentation, including practical skills. Relevant experience in lasers, optics and/or pharmaceuticals is beneficial.
  • Experience working with external clients in a relevant commercial role.
  • An interest in this level of expenses-paid travel including several day / overnight trips which may be overseas or elsewhere in mainland western Europe.
  • Excellent communication skills, ready to represent this prestigious company with their clients.
