This company develops novel and cutting edge technology used in a range of application areas, from micro fuel cells to portable diagnostic instruments. The products genuinely contribute to people's welfare and provide technically challenging design and development.

This role is for an experimental physicist / engineer to develop next generation designs, using their strong intellect and creativity to solve problems embracing microfluidics, electromechanical systems and acoustic theory. The team are at an exciting stage of new development and welcome a hands-on engineer / physicist to join their collaborative working environment.

The role involves initial concept generation and evaluation followed by design and prototyping in the lab. Strong analytical skills are required with a deep understanding of physics and its application to practical systems.

You must have a 1st or 2.1 master's degree in Physics or Engineering from a highly-ranked world class university with relevant academic or commercial experience on small scale devices. You will be technically excellent with strong experimental and analytical physics skills. Of particular interest would be knowledge in mechanics, fluidics and acoustics.

This is an excellent way to leverage your experience in a dynamic development environment. The company provides the opportunity to get involved at all stages of the product design and development, through to manufacture at their on-site facility.
