Product Manager (25289)

A challenging role for a software professional with a strong knowledge of databases from a technical and business perspective, interested in the field of product management. This Cambridge company have become the market leader across several highly-successful product lines by focusing on quality, usability and simplicity, rather than a panoply of little-used or inaccessible features.

This is a strategic role in a very technical marketplace. Through investigation and analysis, communication and persuasion, you'll win over the team from developers to the board. The company has an excellent track record of taking its product managers up on well-founded plans, including making radical moves.

Your concise CV (of no more than 2-3 pages) will demonstrate your:

• commercial experience in product-focused positions;
• understanding of lively, fast-moving and highly technical software businesses;
• extensive grasp of database systems as used in the enterprise, from a technical standpoint and also in terms of business uses, needs and advantages.

You may have a product management background, or come from software development, or another technical field with a product focus. You’ll be happy to have extensive direct contact with users, and you’ll be comfortable using very technical tools to analyse results yourself. You’ll also have a good technical degree from a top university, and full permission to live and work in the UK without time limit, restriction or sponsorship.

Salary will depend very much on experience and fit. In addition, a very competitive package is available along with (full-time) flexible working.
