Design and innovation of high performance devices for clinical applications

This innovative company develops novel hardware and embedded software products for a variety of clinical applications, from smart implants and novel surgical techniques to medical imaging.

Each project involves high performance electronics, requiring creative and innovative design solutions. This Electronics and Embedded Software Engineer role would be ideal for someone with a keen hands-on technical approach as well as an understanding of commercial issues in bringing a novel product from initial concept to tangible design and development. The work remains fresh and vibrant, with each project tackling a new area of ground-breaking development.

The work environment is supportive and collaborative. Multi-disciplinary project team members, including the Electronics and Embedded Software Engineer, liaise directly with external clients to formulate new solutions to complex problems and reach reassuring technical decisions. Requirements:

  • Excellent degree in Electronic Engineering, Embedded Software, or similar from a highly ranked world-class university
  • Commercial experience of challenging electronics and embedded software design
  • Evidence of your enthusiasm for electronics and ability to create novel solutions
  • Good communicator who enjoys technical discussions
  • Interest in widening your commercial skills such as leading projects, liaising with clients
