Take a lead role in developing commercial applications for food technologies

Based at their new offices and lab space in Cambridge, this university spin-out has developed nascent technologies based on plant based encapsulation. Their next stage is to scale-up and apply their innovations to food technology applications (the first in several market areas they are applying their knowledge in).

They are keen to recruit an experienced Scientist with experience in chemical engineering applied to food technology problems to take a lead role with them.

Requirements

  • Degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering including research experience with organic materials (through a Masters or PhD).
  • Subsequent industry experience applying chemical engineering to food applications including microencapsulation, soft matter, emulsions and microfluidics.
  • Experience with relevant manufacturing and associated regulatory standards would be highly desirable.
  • Broad science knowledge and interest to work in new areas.

This is a rare role to be available for an established or establishing industrial scientist to take up a key role with this up-and-coming company. In return, an excellent salary and share options are on offer. Rapid career development can also be expected.
