High-tech consulting services, commercial client-facing experience required

On offer for the successful Data Scientist is the opportunity to work in a stimulating and varied environment, getting your teeth stuck into novel and exciting projects for a range of industries. The role is based in central London. You’ll enjoy working alongside likeminded and intelligent engineers and scientists pushing the boundaries of science. Together you will spend a significant amount of time working with their clients.

The successful Data Scientist will have a top academic background, with at least a 2.1 Honours degree in a numerate subject from a top-ranking university. On top of that, commercial experience with a wide technology stack, applying machine learning and data engineering techniques to a broad range of real-world projects is crucial. The ability to pick up new concepts and quickly progress from analysing a problem to a working and efficient prototype is also important to demonstrate.

Specific technologies and languages evidenced in your CV should include many of:

  • Java, Scala, C# or Python
  • Hadoop, Spark, or similar ‘big data’ environments
  • React, Kibana or ElasticSearch for visualisation / reporting
  • Image processing, Computer vision - OpenCV
  • Managed data centres - Azure
  • Machine learning, AI
