• a strong academic background, with ideally a 2.1 or above in Computer Science (or perhaps Maths or Physics) from a leading university;
• awareness of fundamental computing principles: you’ll have explored (m)any of data structures, computational complexity and scalability, software architecture, code optimisiation, or perhaps distributed / parallel systems;
• familiarity with OO coding, ideally with one of: C, C++, C#, Java or Python;
• interest / experience of modern development practice such as Agile, TDD, CI or similar.
