This award-winning company delivers some of the best software tools and resources to accelerate technical R&D by seamless integration and intuitive presentation of material properties and data. Their products are successful both in industry, where they are used by some of the most recognisable brands in engineering and construction, as well as in academia, where they help to accelerate rapid prototyping and development of novel products, as well as providing industry-relevant educational resources to current university students.

With an active education programme, and established links to multiple academic institutions worldwide, they are now seeking a Development Manager as they seek to spread this engagement to a wider online audience. In this crucial role, the successful candidate will be armed with experience of leading a team in developing technical education and outreach materials, growing and maintaining an active online community, and engaging with both students and educators to deliver relevant and appropriate content.

As well as experience in developing and growing online education communities, candidates must have a relevant technical background relating to materials and/or engineering. Candidate CVs must show:

  • excellent academic qualifications, with ideally a PhD and strong undergraduate degrees in engineering, materials, natural sciences or design subjects;
  • a passion for (materials) education, ideally within the higher-education / university sector;
  • team leadership and management of diverse technical teams, working with scientists, engineers and developers;
  • excellent client-facing and communication skills, with fluency in both spoken and written English.
