Summary: Develop DSP algorithms for Digital Wireless Communications, Hertfordshire, to £55k

With this growing company specializing in the development of advanced digital wireless solutions. This key role is to develop measurement algorithms for the generation and analysis of digital wireless communication standards, eg GSM, EDGE, UMTS, WLAN, WiMAX. Specificially you will analyse digital wireless communications signals that originate from either a mobile or base station. You will be expected to work from standard specifications and marketing requirements.

You must be educated to degree level in an engineering related discipline and ideally have experience in developing signal processing algorithms within the wireless communication industry. You must have good mathematical ability applied to the generation of algorithms for digital processing of analogue signals; an excellent understanding of signal processing and wireless communication theory is more important than detailed knowledge of any particular software. Digital signal processing experience applied to digital radio communications systems, such as WiMAX, LTE and UMTS, would be desirable, as well as experience of digital signal processing in mobile or base station test equipment design. You must be proficient in Matlab, with a working knowledge of C/C++, be self motivated and keen to work within a team.
