This highly innovative, established company specialises in the design and development of leading edge AV and IP solutions. They now see an experienced FPGA Engineer – VHDL and Verilog to work on a range of next generation technology for Video and USB switching and extension products. Our client uses a mixture of VHDL and Verilog for different projects and so experience with both of these hardware description languages is required. The FPGA Engineer – VHDL and Verilog will be expected to work well within a multi-disciplinary development team across a varied range of smaller and larger projects. The versatility to work well in teams or individually and adapt between development-focused and research-focused projects is therefore advantageous. Many of their development projects tend to push the boundaries of the available hardware and so the ability to create efficient designs in a timely manner is a core requirement for this role. The technologies that they are working with are exciting and technically challenging and so there is plenty of scope for innovation for an FPGA Engineer – VHDL and Verilog. You will have a good degree in a relevant engineering subject or equivalent qualifications and, ideally, you will have experience with video compression techniques, networking hardware and/or USB protocols.
