Hardware Development Manager (23225)

Electronics Leader, Principal Hardware Design Engineer, PCB, FPGA, VHDL

This successful Cambridge based company seeks a Hardware Development Manager to lead a small hardware team. Their designs include a range of FPGAs and dedicated components, handling high speed digital interfaces and complex video signals. Your involvement will include hands-on design but largely you will be managing the team and providing technical leadership.

This is a small team so they are NOT seeking the skills required for managing large teams. For example you may currently be a team leader of say four engineers and wish to progress your career to be the head of electronics design within a medium sized product company.

Technically you will have previous experience as an electronics design engineer gaining a broad range of skills:

  • Architecture and design
  • Schematic capture, PCB layout
  • VHDL / FPGA design
  • High speed digital design and development methodologies
  • Planning and keeping track of activities
  • Understanding of network architecture, line drivers or streaming of video
  • Providing technical support/documentation to other teams/departments
  • EMC and safety compliance testing

This will be backed up with an outstanding technical degree from a known leading university.

You will join a team of friendly, dedicated designers working in a modern, welcoming work environment. This provides an excellent opportunity to join an award-winning Cambridge company with strong growth plans over the next few years.
