Mechanical Engineer (23191)
Do you thrive on solving complex mechatronics problems?
We are recruiting for a bright, creative and high performing Mechanical Engineer to join an expanding R&D team specialising in designing innovative and complex robotic technology. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of mechanical engineering fundamentals and some commercial experience in product development.
As part of an interdisciplinary team, you will work on high precision robotic solutions, drawing on your existing commercial experience in design and analysis. You will have a strong mathematical background and the ability to master complex ideas which can add value to the system design.
You must have a 1st or 2.1 degree in mechanical engineering (or similar) from a world class university together with some commercial experience in a high precision commercial R&D role.
You must also have the existing right to work in the UK without sponsorship.
You will also have the following:
- design of complex mechatronic systems using CAD such as SolidWorks
- excellent analytical skills e.g. FEA, MATLAB, CFD
- understanding of manufacturing processes and their impact on design selection
- experience of designing for high reliability and precision
