Summary: Top product development consultancy seeks Usability geared Mechanical Product Designer, Cambridge, to £excellent + benefits. This leading company helps blue-chip clients worldwide achieve success. This key role is to work within their medical devices solutions team designing well thought through medical devices, with specific attention to usability, and carrying out design research activities to identify product opportunities and latent design needs for medical device development. You will be passionate about human factors and ergonomics and have an intuitive understanding of engineering and physics. You must have at least a 2.1 Hons in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design Engineering or similar from a good university ( i.e. you will also have strong A-level grades as well) and be able to present an exciting portfolio showing your ability to present ideas visually. You will have strong 3D CAD skills (ideally Pro-Engineer or Solidworks) with good rendering and computer animation skills, plus the ability to devise clever mechanical solutions to complex problems. This is an excellent opportunity to work with one of the top companies in the Cambridge area where you will deal with both technical and client liaison.
